Writer to Writer hcByrd’s Books is thrilled to host a Writer’s Workshop with Newbery-Honor winning author Gail Carson Levine- for KIDS!!!

We celebrate the release (Dec.23, 2014) of Gail Carson Levine’s second book on writing, Writer to Writer: From Think to Ink, which presents a companion to Writing Magic that draws on advice from her popular blog to counsel aspiring writers about the creative aspects of a writing career. Gail Carson Levine

There is no fee to attend the workshop, but reservations are required. You may call the store to hold a place, we reserve the right to limit the number of attendees due to space. The target age group is 8-12 year-olds.

About the author: 

Gail Carson Levine was born in New York City and shares a birthday with William Carlos Williams. Her first book for children, “Ella Enchanted”, won a Newbery Honor and was made into a feature-length film starring Anne Hathaway. Her other books include “A Tale of Two Castles”; the “New York Times” bestsellers “Ever” and “Fairest”; “Dave at Night”, an ALA Notable Book and Best Book for Young Adults; “The Wish”; “The Two Princesses of Bamarre”; and the six Princess Tales books. She is also the author of the nonfiction book “Writing Magic: Creating Stories That Fly” and the picture books “Betsy Who Cried Wolf! “and “Betsy Red Hoodie”. Gail and her husband, David, live in the Hudson Valley of New York State.
